Housing | We come together as a group to provide homeless veterans with the resources for standard housing.
Transportation | We provide transportation to and from appointments, home, local convenient store, etc.
Volunteering | We support the community coming together in unity to help out and volunteer.
Exercising | We take the veterans out for frequent strolls in the park, bike rides, aerobics, and swimming in the community pool.
Wellness
| We make sure our veterans are focused on the elements of wellness — both physically and emotionally:
Intellectual .. (reading)
Emotional .. (relaxation)
Physical .. (exercising)
Spiritual .. (prayer and spiritual healing)
Environmental .. (interaction with nature)
Social .. (interaction with other veterans and community members)
Occupational .. (working towards a stable career over time)
Nutritional | We provide a selection of foods and preparation of foods. By practicing a healthy diet, many known health issues can be avoided. The diet of an organism is what it eats, which is largely determined by the types of foods it consumes.
Job Connection | Over time, we will observe the veterans skills to see what they are capable of while focusing on a stable career that the veteran can work towards. We will then assist them in the application process.
Resource / Referral Center
| Resource centers can appear in commercial spaces, in people's homes, at community centers and even on the Internet. They may be by appointment only or have 24-hour emergency help. Often a center's location and hours are determined by the community it serves, the demand for the resources and the availability of staff and finances. A resource center for artists may be open around the clock but only to those with a key to the center, whereas a city history resource center may be located next to city hall and operate on city hall hours.
